Build Competition Winners Announced

I have come to the conclusion that we have 3 winners of the build competition,  first one of those would be Elliandra, her build was so impressive that in conjunction with her town earned her the rank of Architect before the build competition was over but I think since her build was still constructed before that rank upgrade that she deserves to be mentioned in the winning three.

Second winner of the build competition would be RossRussell who somehow managed to work on his entry even though he joined staff and performed his duties admirably and with great responsibility. While his build is unfinished I can see the great potential that build has and my vision is enhanced and made more accurate by the great buildings he has constructed.

The third winner of the competition would be Kagman, while the silver lining of his build might be similar to RossRussell's he approached it from a different way. While Ross went with the more traditional stone/cobble combination, Kagman decided to go with sandstone and sand in all their variations, the build is enhanced by the amount of redstone wiring he implemented to make the build look spectacular even at night. His choices regarding contrast were great and even though variety is limited when using sandstone his buildings are appealing to look at and put a sense of awe in a person as he walks from the warp point towards the main castle.

The problem however lies in that these users are also staff. So in turn, all 3 will be receiving a nice money prize. The rank however will be handed down to our first Runner Up! Stranger J. Congrats on your Builders Rank!

We have 3 runners up to this competition as well.

First one of these would be Stranger_J with his temple dedicated to the porkchop, while this build is massive and does inspire some awe, it is my opinion that a building is not made solely by its magnitude and amount of blocks constructed. The building itself does seem to serve its purpose which is to worship the porkchop but it should also be pleasing to the eye and make a person want to explore more parts of it. I suggest that Stranger_J goes to look at /warp evenstar and go look at the temples there because that is exactly what I am talking about.

Second we have the Terminal team entry(to avoid typing all those usernames I shall use Terminal team). I am amazed by the work this team had  put in to the build I am disappointed by the lack of originality connected to it. We were looking for original builds that inspired more people to release their creativity and be inspired to build something original and with that inspire more people. But not all of my comments are bad, I have to say that this build would make for a pretty awesome PVP arena!

And last but not least we have _BenMon_'s build. By the enthusiasm he showed in game I really expected to see more than a project that was started and then abandoned, the tree is like an empty shell waiting to degrade in to soil that will give life to something new and I hope that is what it does, I hope that it is used in a way to create something beautiful in its place if it is not to be finished.
